Chiropractic Marketing with YouTube Cards is a Mobile Magnet

June 10, 2015 by Eduard Burt, D.C., MUAC Leave a Comment

Chiropractic Youtube CardsYouTube is the second largest search engine on the internet and on top of everything else it is owned by Google which is the number one internet search engine. Within 10 years of its existence YouTube has become one of the single largest marketing channels and online communities on the internet. Every 60 seconds 300 hours of a video content is uploaded around the world to this website. The amount of content that is being shared on YouTube is staggering.

If you have had your YouTube chiropractic channel for a while, YouTube annotations have been a well-known and highly regarded YouTube tool. For those that don’t know, annotations are clickable lines of text that overlay a YouTube video. These are used to drive traffic to other videos and chiropractic websites for further marketing and conversion opportunities of new patents. The era of annotations is about to be over and is being replaced with “YouTube Cards”. If you are new to YouTube and missed annotations, there is nothing to worry about. Cards are a much better marketing tool and they are mobile friendly. It is a better opportunity to catch a new chiropractic patient on YouTube watching your video and sending him/her to your chiropractic blog.

The Problem with Annotations for Chiropractic Channel

Chiropractic YouTube channel should be packed with interactive videos of a doctor adjusting a patient and help him/her with a pain and discomfort or any other health related issue. You want to have those new potential patients who found you on YouTube to have a very touching experience. Your video channel is the window to a new patient’s mind. You help them visualize a solution to their problem. The next step for them would be to click on annotation that would take them what used to be called a website. Now days an interactive blog is the only way to survive in a current market which hosts your YouTube channel and other social medial channels with lots of interesting content.

Consumers use mobile devices more and more every year. They shop, look, find and research on their smartphones or other mobile devices. Some do not even have personal computers anymore as they do many things on their smart phones. Old annotations can not bee seen on smartphones. This becomes a huge problem considering that 50% of content uploaded to YouTube is mobile specific. This means that not only can 50% of the material on YouTube not be branded with this marketing text overlay, but mobile viewers in your 10-15 miles radius from your chiropractic practice are therefore impossible to convert into chiropractic patients or prospects. With YouTube Cards this is no longer an issue for a savvy chiropractic practitioner who can generate video content in minutes and upload it on YouTube Chiropractic Channel.

The Solution to the Annotation Problem for a Chiropractic Channel is a YouTube Card

YouTube card is more effective, stylish, and versatile for the marketers who use them; not to mention intriguing to the viewers who see them. There are currently six card types covering

merchandise – Images can be added and the creator’s merchandise can be promoted directly from the video.

fundraising – Allows video viewers to be linked directly to programs on approved fundraising platforms.

video links / playlist link – Serves as a direct link for viewers to find related videos or playlists associated with the current video.

associated websites – Link directly to the creator’s personal or business website. This is truly where mobile visibility plays an enormous role in increasing a business’s bottom line.

fan funding – This card allows those who employ it to harness the power of the community by allowing appreciative viewers to make monetary donations to keep the page up and going.

Content creators will see a new “Cards” tab in the video editor where they can set them up, and can view stats for them in YouTube Analytics. Each type of card has its own settings. Merchandise cards let viewers add images, a merchandise URL and a call to action, while fan funding cards allow viewers to donate to creators right in the video itself. All of these 6 cards are going to be visible on any mobile device.

YouTube card is generating a tab which is visible at all times instead of a preset times. The location of the tab is only in a right upper corner, which most likely will become movable later on. This new form of annotation will take chiropractic marketing on your YouTube channel to a new level.
