1. GOOGLE KNOWLEDGE GRAPH
It is a white box that appears in a right upper corner of Google Search results. When you are looking for a brand, a person or a thing the information is being shown directly in search results without a need to click on any links. Google is closing that product and all of that information will be transferred to Wikidata which is a product of Wikipedia. The best Alternative for your online Chiropractic brand would be Google Plus Chiropractic Page or if you have Wikipedia account. I personally do not have Wikipedia account. Google Page alone works just perfectly fine for my practice.
2. GOOGLE PENGUIN AND PANDA ALGORITHM UPDATES
Google Penguin was designed for those bloggers or content marketers who were trying to build back links by artificially increasing the number of links pointing to their blog and artificially increasing Google search rankings. Such tactics are commonly described as link schemes. According to Google’s John Mueller, Google has announced all updates to the Penguin filter to the public. First Google Penguin algorithm update was announced on April 24, 2012.
Google Panda was designed for very poor quality content on websites or blogs. The change was aimed to lower the rank of “low-quality sites” and return higher-quality sites near the top of the search results and was first done in February of 2011. The best advice for Panda update is to create a great content on your blog that your future chiropractic patients would be reading with pleasure, sign up for your email list update and become your patients in a future. Also great unique content with 500 words or greater will bring your Google Search results to the top of the search results. With that in mind local search engine optimization technique would have to be applied here. I will try to cover this in my future posts.
3. MOBILE SEARCH FOR YOUR CHIROPRACTIC BLOG
Google started to focus more and more on a mobile friendly websites. As a matter of fact Google will change the rank for all none mobile friendly websites on April 21st. There is an extensive article about this issue “How Much Traffic Will You Lose From The Upcoming Mobile SEO-Pocalypse?” Mobile search is increasing every year. Many people do not even have the need to own a P.C. anymore. If someone in your town is looking for a chiropractor and your website is not mobile friendly it will not show up on a potential new patient mobile smart phone search results. You are loosing business here and this potential new patient will go to a chiropractor whose website is mobile friendly. You can load a url of this site on your phone and you will be able to see what it looks like on a mobile mode.
4. GOOGLE LOCAL SEARCH FOR CHIROPRACTORS
I personally believe that this is one of the most important aspects in chiropractic marketing today. All of the chiropractic offices are local based and will serve their patients base in maximum 5-10 miles radius. My main office is in San leandro, CA – this is where I personally practice and this is where my main focus is for Google Local Results. For Example – go to www.google.com and type in San leandro Chiropractic or San Leandro Chiropractor. You will be able to see what I was able to do with my Google Local Search Rankings. My Google Page is showing up, my YELP listing is showing up, and my Blog is showing up on a first page of Google results.
5. GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH
WordPress has an ability to tag an image and name it with any keyword that you want this image to be associated with it. For example – if you Google “San Leandro Chiropractic” and move to an image tab of search results – you will be able to see at least 5-6 images associated with my practice. If it is relative to a current news search the images will show up on a first page of search results without even clicking on an image tab.
Everything has to work like a perfect engine in a racing car. Blog is the engine and your social media channels are the gears that move your blog posts to the top of the Google search results. Your chiropractic blog can deliver great deal of new patients. With proper writing you can bring in all kinds of patients into your clinic – personal injury, workers compensation, sport injury, wellness, weight loss, etc. The possibilities are endless. However, it requires consistency and patience. Seeing your Chiropractic Blog or Google Local Pages listing on a top of the search results takes time and there is a steep learning curve associated with it.
