Chiropractic Marketing with LinkedIn’s Publishing Platform.
Founded in 2003 as a social network for business professionals, LinkedIn has come a long way in the past decade or so. I personally have been on this network for about 10 years now. It has been nearly 3 years since LinkedIn introduced it’s Influencer program, inviting thought leaders and business experts to share their knowledge and insight using the LinkedIn publishing platform. Many professionals from all over the world turned to LinkedIn to publish their posts and share their knowledge with the rest of the social network. What could be better than a well written blog post which can be shared with millions. LinkedIn publishing is an amazing opportunity to gain a new audience personally and professionally. And early results have shown high levels of engagement with this content, especially among those with lots of connections. With this publishing platform, there is a tremendous opportunity to build momentum and establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry or niche.
It is important to understand that your chiropractic blog posts with your specialty in a field would work best on LinkedIn’s publishing network. Publish blog posts about your success with a difficult chiropractic patient. Show your experiences by writing and differentiate yourself from other chiropractors in your geographical area. Share your unique perspective and insights. People love to read interesting stories. Here is your chance to shine and make your post viral. Send a massive amount of traffic to your blog for people to read more of your great stories. Make sure you post on regular bases. You can not expect to grow your network by being inconsistent. Publish at least twice a month but for better results once a week would be better.
Here are three reasons to jump on the LinkedIn publishing platform:
1. Position yourself as an expert in a chiropractic profession. A big reason your patients trust you with their health is because of your unique perspective and your adjusting skills. Sharing how you think and providing insights and guidance through your LinkedIn posts can position you as the go-to expert in a chiropractic field.
2. Every new Connection Counts. As you write and publish more blog posts on LinkedIn publishing platform, you will earn more followers. Followers are different from your LinkedIn connections. Your followers can see your published posts and share with their respective networks. This allows you to be seen outside of your limited 10-15 geographical area from your chiropractic office. Your LinkedIn posts will also be indexed by Google search and can be discovered across the social web outside of LinkedIn as well. I personally do not like to have a double exposure to Google. You never know what kind of algorithm change Google will throw your way ad penalize you. I paste half of my post on LinkedIn publishing platform and then provide a link to the rest on my blog. Basically I achieve two goals here. First, I eliminate exposing the same content to Google and second, I send more traffic to my original content which is my bog.
3. Generate new potential patients. In every LinkedIn post you publish, include a simple call to action either within the post or at the end in your bio section. If you are doing the same thing that I am dong in #2 then no need for #3. But if you are publishing a entire post without a link to your blog then a call to action is a must. I personally use a link beck to my blog which is asking for an email newsletter sign up.
4. If you do not have a blog on your website consider adding LinkedIn Publishing Platform as your blogging platform. In general nothing beats a well optimized Word Press blog. Break the chains of an old fashion word of mouth marketing and promote yourself on web 2.0 platform. If you are still in a darkness on how and where to start feel free to contact me.
